Three Cool islands in Thailand

by Stefan Stevenson

1. Koh Lanta - perfect for the family

Koh Lanta is a relaxation paradise with fantastic beaches. There are a huge amount of Swedish people that stay here for a couple of months each year, therefor people call Koh Lanta the "swede island"

Koh Lanta has it's own Swedish school which makes it easier to stay longer if you are traveling with young kids. There is accomodation on the island to suit every budget, from luxurious beach resorts to cheap "backpacker" style living. The easiest way to get here is by boat from Krabi or Phuket.

2. Koh Phangan - full moon party island

Koh Panghan is a high tempo island often full of backpackers and party people. This is not the island for relaxation, especially not during the full moon party week of each month.

But if you want to party with people from around our globe all night long, this is the place! If you do arrive a other week than the full moon party week however, Koh Phangan is a nice relaxed island with nice beaches and accommodation for every budget. You get here by boat either from Surat Thani or Ko Samui.

3. Koh Jum - experience a true island paradise

Just north of Koh Lanta is Koh Jum, a much, much more relaxed island than Koh Phangan. Here you can experience a true paradise island with fantastic beaches and no nightlife or party.

All the accomodation on Koh Jum is simple and cheap bungalows right on the beach. If you want to get here you take the boat from Krabi.
